Surgical Procedures
There are several types of weight loss surgery procedures, but gastric bypass surgery, LAP-BAND® surgery and the gastric sleeve gastrectomy are the three most widely used. Each surgery is different and the technique used depends on a number of factors that only a surgeon can determine. Learn more about the different types of weight loss surgery and how each one is performed.
- LAP-BAND® Surgery

As with any surgical procedure, weight loss surgery has a slight risk of unforeseen surgical complications. If a patient suffers from severe surgical complications, surgical intervention may be required. In addition to treating LAP-BAND® surgery and Roux-en-Y surgical complications, we also have extensive experience performing surgery to convert intestinal bypass and gastroplasty procedures to the more modern Roux-en-Y technique. Intestinal bypass and gastroplasty procedures are considered outdated.
